Job description
You will join the Data Engineering team at the heart of our evolution, contributing to the design, development, and operation of scalable data platforms supporting multiple business domains such as finance, recruitment/HR, and operational data. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, working closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to provide reliable, analytics-ready data in a structured Agile environment.
Your missions
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines on Microsoft Azure
- Own end-to-end ELT/ETL workflows, from raw ingestion to curated analytics layers
- Implement data processing using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Dataflows, and PySpark notebooks
- Contribute to data ingestion and processing involving Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps for event-driven or API-based workflows
- Support the adoption and usage of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering workloads) as a platform evolution
- Design scalable and well-structured data models
- Deliver trusted datasets for Data Analysts (dashboards, KPIs, reporting) and Data Scientists (feature engineering, machine learning pipelines)
- Optimize SQL queries and Spark workloads for performance and cost efficiency
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring
- Apply best practices in Python and PySpark development, SQL performance tuning, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
- Work in an Agile environment (Scrum) and use Azure DevOps for backlog management, pull requests, CI/CD, and release pipelines
- Enable automated validation, controlled deployments, and reliable promotion of data engineering assets across development, test, and production environments
- Support and mentor junior engineers and interns on data engineering practices
- Collaborate closely with analytics and data science teams to understand and anticipate data needs
- Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous platform improvement
- Promote best practices and knowledge sharing within the team
Your profile
- Experience in data engineering (3–5 years)
- Proficiency with Azure data platforms, especially Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory
- Experience with SQL (complex queries, optimization)
- Experience with Python for data processing and pipeline logic
- Experience delivering production data pipelines
- Experience working in Agile teams with structured delivery processes
- Experience using Azure DevOps (backlogs, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering workloads) is a plus
- Exposure to Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Functions in data ingestion or integration contexts is a plus
- You demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills
- You are pragmatic, delivery-oriented, and business-aware
- English fluent.
- Mastering generative AI such as ChatGPT for improving day-to-day productivity
