ECU Design Release Engineer (Onsite)

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate software flashing, part installation, ECU commissioning and vehicle inspections.
• Provide on-site support for aftersales services.
• Plan and execute ECU, system and vehicle-level verification and validation tests.
• Develop electrical system validation test plans and procedures.
• Create and perform test items using vehicle testing systems.
• Maintain and regularly update test environments.
• Analyse test logs to identify root causes and confirm software bugs.
• Create test cases and procedures based on system features and project experience.
• Share feedback with function owners to improve system functions.
• Report and follow up on issues identified during testing and commissioning.
• Work with design teams and system engineers on requirements and intended vehicle or module functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical component development or testing.
• Knowledge of ECU Design and Release Engineering activities.
• Technical knowledge of vehicle electronics, wiring harnesses, ECUs and electronic components.
• Experience with CAN/LIN analysis and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of automotive network architecture.
• Understanding of ASPICE and the V-Model.
• Experience with ECUs in infotainment, body or similar domains.
• Ability to perform vehicle and system-level software validation.
• Familiarity with system engineering tools such as DOORS or Codebeamer.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C, CAPL or Python is preferred.
