Senior Consultant System Test
As a consultant, you will be embedded in a high‑tech innovation environment, contributing to the verification of regulated systems used in demanding clinical settings.
You will work on system verification for medical software and connected healthcare products. Your role will cover requirements analysis, risk-based test design, manual and automated test execution, system integration, defect investigation, release readiness, and the development of reusable test automation.
Responsibilities
- Translate system requirements into measurable test cases covering core functions, system interactions, failure modes, and edge cases.
- Design and maintain manual and automated system test scripts using suitable scripting languages, test tools, and established verification frameworks.
- Identify system-level risks through requirements analysis, threat modeling, and risk-based test planning.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and release verification tests according to approved test plans and procedures.
- Analyse test results, investigate failures, identify root causes, and track defects through to closure.
- Work closely with software developers, systems engineers, integration teams, and other stakeholders to resolve defects and clarify technical issues.
- Monitor requirement coverage, test execution, defect trends, and release-readiness indicators throughout the verification cycle.
- Contribute to test automation frameworks by creating reusable scripts, improving repetitive test activities, and sharing testing knowledge with team members.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in system testing, software verification, system integration testing, or release verification.
- Professional experience testing medical devices, Software as a Medical Device, healthcare technology, aerospace, automotive, or another regulated product environment.
- Strong knowledge of requirement-based verification, risk-based testing, system-level test design, and traceability between requirements and test evidence.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing functional, integration, regression, and acceptance test cases.
- Practical experience with scripting languages and test automation tools, with the ability to select suitable approaches according to system complexity and test objectives.
- Experience using test management systems, defect tracking tools, version control, and structured engineering documentation.
- Experience with defect triage, root-cause investigation, test reporting, requirement coverage analysis, and cross-functional technical reviews.
- Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development, test automation frameworks, continuous testing, or the use of AI in software testing is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, a structured working style, and the ability to work with distributed engineering teams in an international environment.
