Are you a senior Quality Assurance Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical engineering, piping, structures, and welding? Do you have a proven track record delivering quality assurance on complex EPC projects? You will work across sectors, ensuring that engineering documentation is technically robust, compliant, and ready for procurement, fabrication, construction, or client approval.
🔥 Responsibilities
- Review, comment on, and validate engineering deliverables before client submission, including GA drawings, fabrication drawings, structural drawings, piping isometrics, pipe supports, welding drawings, technical specifications, and calculation notes.
- Verify compliance with client/project specifications, international Codes & Standards, and internal Quality Management System procedures.
- Ensure mechanical quality across steel structures, piping systems, supports, bolted/welded assemblies, and pressure equipment.
- Review welding engineering requirements, including weld types and sizes, joint preparation, WPS/PQR/WPQ, and applicable standards such as EN 1090, ISO 3834, ASME Section IX, and AWS.
- Define and review NDT requirements, including VT, MT, PT, UT, and RT.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, QCPs, engineering quality plans, and review checklists.
- Manage inspections and certification activities, including Hold Points, Witness Points, MRB reviews, material certificates, NDT reports, and FATs.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, Lessons Learned, and RCA/CAPA activities.
- Challenge and reject non-compliant deliverables when required and escalate critical quality issues to senior management.
🎯 Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, QHSE, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in Engineering Quality Assurance, particularly in mechanical structures and piping, within EPC projects.
- Proven experience across at least 3 EPC projects, including significant site/construction exposure.
- Strong experience reviewing fabrication drawings and multidisciplinary engineering documentation.
- Solid expertise in steel structures, piping, welding engineering, and pressure equipment.
- Experience in fabrication workshops and/or construction environments is highly valued.
- Experience with modular construction is a strong asset.
- Excellent ability to read fabrication, workshop, welding, structural, piping and isometric drawings, as well as 3D models.
- Strong knowledge of ITPs, QCPs, ISO 9001, QA methodologies, RCA/CAPA.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Plant 3D, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and MS Office.
- French: Fluent.
- English: Fluent.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, independence, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to challenge engineering decisions with diplomacy and firmness while maintaining high quality standards.
