Job description
As a Formulation Scientist, you will contribute to the development of innovative liquid and parenteral drug products while working with multidisciplinary teams across Pharmaceutical Development, Analytical Sciences, Manufacturing and Quality to accelerate the delivery of new therapies.
Your missions
- Contribute to the development of innovative parenteral and liquid formulations for small molecules in (pre)clinical development.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments supporting formulation screening, process optimization, scale-up and technology transfer.
- Analyze experimental data and support formulation and process development strategies.
- Prepare technical documentation, development reports and manufacturing instructions for clinical development activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Analytical Development, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and external partners.
- Maintain accurate experimental documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and digital laboratory tools.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through structured data capture, knowledge management and data-driven decision making.
- Explore innovative technologies, including automation and AI-enabled solutions, to improve pharmaceutical development processes.
Your profile
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in formulation and process development within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of parenteral and liquid dosage forms for small molecules.
- Experience with aseptic processing, lyophilization, milling or nanoparticle technologies is an asset.
- Familiarity with advanced drug delivery systems such as liposomes, nanosuspensions or biodegradable delivery technologies is highly valued.
- Experience using digital laboratory platforms, data management systems or visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English.
