Job description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Technical Security Specialist to augment the APAC Technology Security team, supporting an integration initiative. This role is responsible for ensuring that security controls defined by the Design Authority (DA) are properly implemented and validated prior to go-live, with clear visibility of risks, gaps, and escalations to GIS leadership.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Validate the implementation of infrastructure and application security controls (e.g., firewalls, network segmentation, access controls, encryption, endpoint security) prior to go-live to ensure alignment with Design Authority (DA) requirements
  • Review and interpret security architecture and design documents, ensuring that implemented controls match approved designs and standards
  • Identify gaps and deviations by comparing actual build configurations against DA-agreed security controls, ensuring all discrepancies are clearly documented
  • Drive and support the escalation of identified control gaps to GIS leadership in close collaboration with the Regional Information Security Officer (RISO)
  • Support risk assessment activities by evaluating the impact and severity of control gaps and contributing to mitigation recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver weekly technical security control status reports, highlighting validation progress, identified risks, and remediation tracking
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams across country, regional, and global levels to ensure proper control implementation and issue resolution
  • Provide clear and structured documentation including validation results, gap analysis, and escalation recommendations to support governance and decision-making

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fields.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure and application security controls, including firewalls, network segmentation, access controls, encryption, and endpoint security
  • Proven experience in security controls assurance, audit, or validation, preferably within M&A, system integration, or transformation programs
  • Strong ability to interpret security architecture and design documents and validate implementation against defined standards
  • Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks and processes, including identifying, evaluating, and escalating security risks
  • Experience working with structured escalation processes and engaging with senior security leadership (e.g., GIS, RISO)
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and executive-level reporting
  • Experience in insurance or financial services environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with GIS or enterprise security governance frameworks is an advantage
  • Prior experience working alongside RISOs or regional security teams across multiple geographies is a plus
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable

Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

As you know, every person is different and so is every role in a company.  That is why we have to adapt accordingly, and the process may differ slightly at times. However, please know that we always put ourselves in the candidate's shoes to ensure they have the best possible experience.
We look forward to meeting you!
