Join our team and start a new adventure in an international and dynamic environment, where you will be able to fulfil your career expectations in a fast-growing organization. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be involved in expertise projects in the electricity sector, based in Brussels.

Your missions

  • Ensure the highest quality standards in the manufacturing, procurement, and installation of mechanical equipment for nuclear facilities
  • Support dismantling activities of nuclear power plants by performing quality control inspections on equipment destined for nuclear waste storage
  • Support the operation and long-term performance of nuclear power plants by ensuring that mechanical components and systems meet rigorous nuclear safety standards
  • Conduct quality inspections in non-nuclear technologies
  • Perform QC inspection missions during manufacturing of mechanical equipment at manufacturers’ premises and during installation on plant operator sites
  • Verify that goods meet the requirements set forth in technical and approved quality control documentation
  • Examine and approve documentation resulting from manufacturing and installation activities
  • Review and sign reports issued by contractors, including material certificates, non-destructive examination reports, pressure test reports, etc.
  • Provide technical feedback on inspection outcomes and assist technical experts in analysing and approving non-conformities encountered during manufacturing
  • Conduct QC inspections on various types of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, raw materials, etc.)
  • Inform the quality control leader, contract owner, or project manager of the outcome of your missions
  • Issue immediate feedback of performed QC inspection missions (within 24h) and draft detailed inspection reports including clear conclusions and actions whenever necessary

Your profile

  • Experience with mechanical equipment manufacturing codes and standards (e.g., ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, RCCM, EN-13445, EN-13450, EN 1090)
  • Knowledge of non-destructive examination techniques
  • Experience in manufacturing processes (raw materials such as forgings, castings, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, pumps)
  • Experience in quality control inspection (destructive and non-destructive examination of materials and welds)
  • Master’s degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent level by demonstrated experience
  • English and Dutch fluent. French is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • You demonstrate strong reporting and communication skills
  • Nuclear security habilitation required
  • National and international mobility required (typical 1 inspection per week for 2-3 days, mainly in Europe, occasionally outside Europe)
  • Non-continuous shift work may be required depending on project needs
