ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to oversee our project portfolio and drive delivery excellence. In this role, you will establish project governance, standardize methodologies, and ensure that all initiatives align with our overarching business goals. You will guide cross-functional teams through complex projects, driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization.
YOUR MISSIONS
- Governance: Establish clear rules, oversight frameworks, and expectations to ensure all project initiatives align with the company's business goals and compliance standards.
- Standardization: Develop and implement reusable templates, tools, and "best practice" methodologies (such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2) while maximizing Jira's capabilities for standardized workflow configuration and tracking.
- Strategic Planning: Assist leadership with portfolio management by evaluating and prioritizing enterprise projects based on expected ROI, business impact, and strategic alignment.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project health and portfolio performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), delivering clear, actionable progress reports to senior stakeholders via advanced Jira dashboards.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of human and financial resources across the portfolio to resolve dependencies, prevent bottlenecks, and optimize delivery across concurrent projects.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fields.
- 6+ years of proven experience in project management, portfolio management, or PMO leadership roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in Jira for workflow configuration, project tracking, issue management, and portfolio reporting.
- Certifications: Active PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP certification is highly desirable. Agile/Scrum certifications are a strong plus.
- Exceptional leadership and conflict-resolution abilities, with a track record of driving change management and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Industry Knowledge: Background or domain expertise in the Insurance sector (Life, Health, or Property & Casualty). Familiarity with insurance operations, core systems transformations, or regulatory landscapes is a distinct advantage.
