Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Master Data Management (MDM) Architect for a hybrid role based in Toronto, responsible for defining the future-state vision and multi-year roadmap of our global MDM program. This critical position provides architectural and technical leadership to support scalable MDM deployment and optimization across more than 100 countries.
As the primary owner of the end-to-end MDM solution architecture, you will ensure the design is robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise principles. You will act as a strategic thought leader—shaping the long-term MDM vision, driving Cloud Data Management and Data Governance initiatives, and applying AI/ML techniques to transform global data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the MDM technology roadmap aligned with the global Digital Technology strategy.
- Design MDM solutions that meet business requirements, product needs, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Lead and accelerate initiatives in MDM, Data Governance, and Cloud Data Management.
- Own the complete MDM architecture—from conceptual to physical design—covering planning, data modeling, PoCs, and development.
- Define and implement architecture standards, reusable components, and scalable enterprise approaches.
- Oversee and support MDM solution implementations, providing expert guidance throughout the full lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise on match/merge logic, survivorship rules, and data quality approaches for new source systems.
- Design and maintain the integration architecture supporting both real-time and batch interfaces.
- Own and update all critical architectural artifacts, including solution design documents and diagrams.
Requirements
- MDM Architecture Experience: Minimum 5 years architecting and designing MDM solutions (7+ years preferred).
- Implementation Leadership: Experience serving as technical or project lead on at least 3 large-scale MDM implementations.
- Architecture Services: Strong background designing, developing, and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
- Cloud Expertise: 3–5+ years working with AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
- MDM Platforms: Hands-on implementation experience with platforms such as Reltio, Informatica, IBM MDM, SAP MDG, or Semarchy.
- MDM Configuration: Strong expertise configuring match rules, survivorship, workflows, and reference data.
- Integration Solutions: Experience implementing integrations using MuleSoft and/or Solace; understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
- Enterprise Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and analytical ecosystems consuming master and reference data.
Mandatory Skills
- Implementation expertise in major MDM platforms (Reltio, Informatica, IBM MDM, SAP MDG, Semarchy).
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft and/or Solace for system integrations.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
- Strong configuration experience in match rules, survivorship, workflows, and reference data.
