Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

Join Amaris and embark on a new adventure within our Data and AI team, positioned at the heart of our evolution and growth. You will be part of an international and dynamic environment, collaborating closely with business partners, research analysts, quantitative strategists, and end-users to enhance investment and research data solutions and strategies. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in our data operations.

Your missions

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and enhance investment and research data solutions and strategies
  • Contribute to, influence, and review the design of data solutions to ensure alignment with business and operational needs
  • Conduct requirement workshops with business and users, analyzing requirements holistically to improve enterprise data solutions
  • Plan, develop, and execute end-to-end user acceptance testing of system and data changes
  • Set up, improve, and streamline new or existing data operations processes by analyzing system operations data (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency, etc.) for continuous improvement
  • Monitor, analyze, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents, providing advisory support to users
  • Design quality metrics and monitor the quality of enterprise datasets
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with data vendors to ensure continuous support and knowledge for current and future data needs

Your profile

  • Academic background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Experience: 1–3 years in data management, data analysis, user/business requirements analysis and enhancement, data analytics, and visualization, preferably within the investment or banking industry
  • English language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Tools / software: Experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI; familiarity with data warehouse, data models, data management tools, and data extraction (SQL, Tableau, Python, or R); knowledge of Excel formulas/macros is advantageous
  • AI/OpenAI experience: Experience with generative AI such as ChatGPT for improving day-to-day productivity (if relevant)
  • Soft skills: Strong understanding of data management principles, controls, and processes; detail-oriented and meticulous in operations; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders; agile, fast learner, adaptable to change; strong analytical skills and enjoyment of complex problem solving; experience with SDLC and/or Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban); background in economics/finance-related courses is preferred
