Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
Amaris Consulting is looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer with a strong background in Java and React to join our growing team in Istanbul (Asian Side) on a hybrid model. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in software development, with proven expertise in both backend and frontend technologies, enterprise-scale applications, and modern architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in end-to-end fullstack development processes, covering both backend and frontend.
- Develop backend components and services using Java.
- Build modern, scalable frontends with React and other JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, with knowledge of SOAP services.
- Work with microservices architecture on platforms like OpenShift.
- Manage and optimize databases, specifically Couchbase and Oracle.
- Implement real-time data communication using SignalR and WebSocket.
- Utilize caching technologies such as Redis.
- Integrate and manage message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, IBM MQ).
- Ensure software quality, scalability, and maintainability by applying best practices.
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
- Maintain coding standards, perform code reviews, and enhance development workflows.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in fullstack development.
- Strong backend expertise in Java and enterprise-scale development.
- Proven frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP.
- Familiarity with OpenShift, microservices, and distributed architectures.
- Experience with Couchbase and Oracle databases.
- Hands-on experience with SignalR, WebSocket, Redis, and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, IBM MQ).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Intermediate or higher level of English (both written and spoken).
