ABOUT THE JOB
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform different types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and exploration testing on web, mobile, and API systems.
- Execute manual test cases, document test results, and report issues and defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Track and manage defects through their lifecycle using tools like Jira, ensuring timely resolution and re-validation of fixes.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to validate compatibility and user experience.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and user manuals.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3.5 years of experience in a manual software testing/QC role, preferably in web, mobile, or enterprise applications.
- Experience in either the insurance or banking domain is required.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of software testing processes, techniques, and methodologies (e.g., Black Box, White Box testing).
- Experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman is a plus.
- Basic SQL skills for data verification and validation is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Redmine).
- Knowledge or experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Effective communicator and a good team player.
