Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
At Amaris Consulting, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a talented Thermodynamics Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team, based in Belgium. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced simulations and analyses of thermodynamic systems, supporting the development of high-performance and energy-efficient solutions for our clients.
🔥 Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute thermodynamic simulations for a variety of engineering projects, including energy systems, automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.
- Analyze and interpret simulation results to optimize system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate simulation findings into product design and development.
- Prepare technical documentation, simulation reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in thermodynamics, simulation methodologies, and industry standards.
- Support the validation of simulation models through experimental data and real-world testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored simulation solutions.
🎯 Your Profile:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in thermodynamics simulation or a related engineering field.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamic principles, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
- Proficient in simulation software such as ANSYS, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French (Dutch is a plus).
- Experience in interpreting and validating simulation results with experimental data.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
