Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Work closely with the data product team and business end-users to implement and support data platforms using best-of-breed technology and methodology.
  • Collaborate with product vendors to design, deploy, and integrate different data platforms within the organization’s ecosystem.
  • Ensure that deployed platforms follow IT security and compliance policies.
  • Establish processes and develop monitoring mechanisms to detect the availability of the platforms.
  • Act as a solution architect and develop end-to-end onboarding of projects onto the data platforms for BI needs such as data ingestion, visualization, and data governance.
  • Perform testing on deployed data platforms.
  • Develop and optimize data structures and algorithms for efficient, scalable applications.
  • Ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows and maintain code documentation.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience as a platform support engineer, software engineer, or data engineer.
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms in Java or Python.
  • Experience with application implementation and platform integration.
  • Familiarity with application integration using RDBMS.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake, Linux (or Unix-like OS), Shell scripts, and command line tools.
  • Knowledge of data integration and visualization platforms like Informatica, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Exposure to technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, Denodo, and AWS services (a plus).
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Understanding of code versioning, CI/CD workflows, and testing practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication skills to interact with data analysts, end-users, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in operations.
