Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. This position is aimed at candidates with 4 to 6 years of experience and offers an Undetermined Duration Contract. The role will be based in Sweden, Gothenburg and the working language will be English.

Lead and perform functional safety engineering activities for product development teams while developing technical work products.

Plan and ensure that safety plan activities meet program timing.

Drive the development of functional and technical safety concepts within various subsystems such as software, hardware etc.

Support the development of verification strategies including hazard risk assessment (HARA), FTAs, DFMEAs etc., within subsystems, software, hardware etc.

Incorporate Functional Safety standards into VBC processes according to industry common practices.

Maintain proper documentation storage system ensuring revisions are managed timely.

Liaise with suppliers and customers on safety-related topics.
This role requires a broad technical know-how along with leadership skills to successfully integrate the functional safety process into our development process. You must have strong ability to share knowledge, develop individuals and motivate teams towards achieving set goals.
About You
You are someone who thrives in leading roles but also enjoys performing tasks independently when required. As an ideal candidate you should possess excellent communication skills both written & spoken in English along with a deep understanding of SW/HW Architecture & schematics.

A Master's or Bachelor's degree in relevant area is mandatory for this role.

Certification in Functional Safety is required.

Demonstrated high level knowledge of functional safety activities according to ISO 26262 standard.

Proven experience of working with functional work products.
We are a central team of about 15 persons responsible for various areas such as Technical Product Documentation/PDM, CAD/DMU/VPDM process development and support, Geometrical Architecture, Product Cyber Security, FMEA and Functional Safety. We look forward to welcoming you into our dynamic team.
