Your LittleBig responsibilities
Overview:
We are currently seeking for an experienced, dynamic, and collaborative professional as Front-end Technical Leader in Barcelona, Valencia or Porto.
As the Frontend Tech Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the Design System squad, with a strong focus on Angular and design systems such as Flowbite, Kendo UI, Tailwind, and others. While the overall architecture will be led by the architect within your tribe, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing frontend components that are performant, visually appealing, and seamlessly integrated with backend services. This role demands deep technical expertise in frontend technologies, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership specifically for frontend technologies, with a focus on Angular and design systems. Promote best practices in frontend component design and UI/UX standards.
- Frontend Development: Actively participate in the development process, writing high-quality Angular code and utilizing design systems (e.g., Flowbite, Kendo UI, Tailwind) to create consistent, responsive, and accessible UIs. Familiarity with other frameworks like React or Vue is a plus.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide frontend developers, promoting best practices in coding, Angular development patterns, design system usage, and software development methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to define frontend technical requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality software that aligns with business objectives.
- Code Quality and Review: Establish and enforce frontend coding standards, focusing on clean, maintainable, and reusable code. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality output and adherence to best practices.
- Project Management: Assist in planning and managing frontend development projects, including task estimation, sprint planning, and timeline management.
- Continuous Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends in frontend technologies, design systems, and Angular best practices. Drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies that enhance the development process and product quality.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software development, with significant expertise in Angular and design systems like Flowbite, Kendo UI, or Tailwind. Experience with other frameworks like React or Vue is a bonus. Previous experience in a leadership or frontend tech lead role is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and design systems. Strong understanding of software architecture principles and best practices in frontend development.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of frontend developers, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose frontend issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
